Our story — since 1928
Discovering the treasure inside each individual
Sherrardswood was founded in 1928 by Ethel Joy Wragg, whose guiding principle — “discovering the treasure inside each individual” — remains at the heart of the school today.
Our emblem carries her vision: the rose for love and warmth, and the oak for every child’s growth into a confident, grounded adult. Today the school occupies a Grade II listed Georgian mansion in 40 acres of parkland at Lockleys.
